Five commitments to learn, build and raise awareness at ACS and beyond. Then, the ambitious opportunities we will actively pursue.
What we intend to accomplish
Concrete work we are building the club around — from learning together to an ACS AI Day.
- Commitment 01
Learn AI Collectively
Members at beginner, intermediate and advanced starting levels will learn AI theory and practice together, sharing ideas and helping each other grow.
- Commitment 02
Run an AI Awareness Campaign
Raise awareness within ACS and, where opportunities exist, across other schools and the wider community. Explore what AI is, responsible use, hallucinations, misinformation, bias and critical evaluation of AI outputs. Presentations to younger students may form part of this work.
- Commitment 03
One Useful AI Project
Complete at least one useful AI project addressing an agreed real need. Members will choose the specific problem and project together as their skills develop.
- Commitment 04
Permanent Tech Section at Library
Establish a lasting ACS library section with useful resources in artificial intelligence, programming, technology and mathematics.

Organize an ACS AI Day
Bring AI learning to the school community through demonstrations, activities, project showcases, responsible-AI discussions and other shared experiences.
ACS AI Day
Our AI Day is a school-wide event bringing AI to life for the whole ACS community — combining learning, discussion and hands-on fun.

Ambitious opportunities we will pursue
These are not promises we can keep alone. They depend on organizations, school permission, scheduling, availability and other factors. We will pursue them actively and honestly.
Invite AI professors and researchers to speak
Seek guest talks from people who study and teach AI, so members can hear how research actually works.
Invite professionals, founders and ACS alumni
Reach out to practitioners, startup founders and former ACS students studying or working in AI and technology.
Attend major AI conferences where possible
Explore attending events such as AI Everything Abu Dhabi and GITEX Global when timing, access and school permission allow.
Visit universities such as NYU Abu Dhabi and MBZUAI
Pursue campus visits that let students see university-level AI education and research up close.
Connect with institutes such as TII
Learn from research organizations in Abu Dhabi that build and publish AI systems, including the Falcon open-model programme.
Explore Abu Dhabi’s startup ecosystem
Look for ways to understand how AI companies grow in the city through Hub71 and ADGM.
Explore possible AI infrastructure visits
Where appropriate and permitted, learn how data centres and compute infrastructure support large-scale AI.
Connect with other schools that have AI programmes
Build respectful peer relationships with schools that already run AI clubs, robotics or computer-science programmes.
Create occasions for students from different schools to meet
Look for opportunities where students can learn together, discuss AI, explore facilities and share projects.
Exhibit our finished project later in the year
Seek a venue at a UAE innovation fair, AI exhibition or student showcase once the club project is ready.
